EM-MTF2019 will be held at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort Magnetic Island, which is directly opposite to Magnetic Island Ferry Terminal at Nelly Bay.

From Breakwater Ferry Terminal in Townsville, it takes 20 minutes by Sealink ferry to reach Magnetic Island, costing $34 for return tickets. For the guests of Peppers Blue on Blue Resort, the cost of the ferry tickets are included in the accommodation packages; the resort sends a list of arriving guests to the ferry ticket office every morning, and you only need to mention your name to the ticket office once you get to the ferry terminal, then they will give you a return ticket. For delegates who stay in other hotels, you would have to purchase your own tickets.

Townsville Airport is a short 10km drive to the Breakwater Ferry Terminal. Taxis meet all arrivals and departures. The taxi costs app $22 to get to Ferry Terminal. A shuttle bus service also operates from the airport to major hotels and the Breakwater Ferry Terminal, and costs around $10 – $12 per person.

Townsville airport is serviced by Virgin Blue, JetStar, and Qantas. There are direct flights from Sydney, Cairns and Brisbane to Townsville. Alternatively, delegates can drive from Cairns to Townsville, but you are advised to return your car at Townsville as it is costly and inconvenient to transport your car to Magnetic Island.

On Magnetic Island, there are frequent buses going to major hotels and beaches. A daypass costs about $7. You can hire a car on the Island if you wish.
